Description
This package contains 36 tangram puzzles to be recreated by the students. Each page has 2 boxes, in it are both the puzzle (in black) and the solution (in color). This game practices spatial awareness, geometric concepts, problem solving, shapes and mathematical concepts like symmetry and congruency.
There are 36 tangram puzzles in this package, a mix of figures, animals and objects. Tangram is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes. The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape (given only an outline or silhouette) using all seven pieces, which may not overlap. Tangram consists of:
• 1 small square
• 2 small congruent triangles
• 2 large congruent triangles
• 1 medium-size triangle
• 1 parallelogram
There are several different sized tangram templates included in this download. Print them, optionally have the students color the shapes, and let the children get to work!
