4th Grade Differentiated Spelling Lists - Year Long Unit

You are looking at the spelling program I made for my 4th grade class. There are 33 weeks of differentiated spelling lists based on phonics patterns and high frequency words. Each list has 10 words that align with a phonics rule, and 6 high frequency words. The first 3 weeks of the year I only use one list, List B. Once I have determined my students abilities, beginning in week 4, there is a List A for my struggling spellers, and a List C for my faster learners. Each list focuses on the same phonics pattern, but have simpler or harder words, depending on the list. All lists have the same high frequency words each week.

This file includes homework strips that are 4 of the same list to a page and a teacher list, with all three lists on one page, for easy reference. The teacher list also includes sentences that include words from the previous week's lists. Ideally, your students will get practice writing a correct sentence, as well as remembering how to spell words from the previous week.
