Description of the resources in this test prep bundle:

1) Test-taking Strategies Wheel

• This wheel was created with math testing in mind, but it could be used for other subject areas as well. It can be kept in students’ notebooks as a reference for the year.
• You could even enlarge it and turn it into a test taking strategies poster!

The sections of the test-taking strategies wheel include:

1) Read directions

2) Underline

3) Choose a strategy

4) Read all answer choices

5) Eliminate answers

6) Check your work

7) Use resources

8) Take your time

This test-taking strategies wheel file includes:

• Student wheel
• A key with suggested ideas to add to or clarify what the strategies mean; these are just suggestions and you can easily use different notes to fit your needs
• A colored sample
• An editable PPT with:
  • A version that has “test-taking strategies” in the center, with all the sections blank, in case you have different strategies you want students use. (Save as PDF to print.)
  • A blank wheel with background, so you can add text to make your own wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use)

The 6th Grade Math Review and 7th Grade Math Review EACH have the following items.

1) A set of 90 multiple choice questions, in worksheet form (25 pages/23 pages)

• Address the 6th & 7th grade math common core standards.

2) The SAME 90 questions in task card form (with background and without background, in case you want to save ink when printing!).

• The task cards are 2 to a page, so you have 45 pages with background and 45 pages without.

3) Recording/answer sheets that can be used with the task cards.

• One recording sheet just has space for students to write the letter of the correct answer.
• The other recording sheets are in grid form, where students can do some work and record their answers.

4) A detailed answer key

• For some problems, work to solve is shown.
• For many problems, there are explanations for what misunderstanding may have caused students to choose the incorrect answers.
