Description
Description
In this scavenger hunt activity, students will solve 12 problems that include questions from every unit of 8th-grade math common core. Students will practice equations, linear equations, systems of equations, scientific notation, Pythagorean theorem, volume, parallel lines cut by a transversal, transformations, two-way tables, and many other important skills. This is a great review for a state end-of-the-year test or final exam. The best part of this activity is that it is self-checking and requires students to get up and move around the room to find their answers.
Included in this product:
- 12 full-page scavenger hunt cards
- Recording answer sheet
- Detailed answer key
- Teacher directions
2 versions of the cards are included.

Directions
Print task cards and laminate if desired.
- Place the cards randomly around the room or desired location. Do not place them around the room in the order of the answer loop.
- Print out student answer sheets (double-sided) and make copies for each student.
- Have students or groups all start at different cards.
- Students will place the letter of the card in the corner and then show their work.
- The answer they get will lead them to the next card. They will search the room for that previous answer. If that answer is not around the room they made a mistake.
- They should repeat this process until they have answered all of the cards and arrive back at the first card they started at.
