- PDF
What educators are saying
Description
This is a 3 page .pdf document that covers all of the Grammar, Usage, and Rhetorical rules tested on the ACT English test. This also includes some basic test-taking strategies for the English section of the ACT test.
I have used this in my own classroom and at school-wide ACT Review Sessions for the last 14 years!
Teaching Tip: When helping students prepare to take the test, I have my students take a practice passage. Then as we go through the answers, I review the rules based on which rule the questions in the passage uses.
One of the most helpful activities students have done is to place a tally mark in each of the boxes on the handout, if they missed that type of rule on the ACT Practice tests. It becomes a very visual way of seeing which grammar or rhetorical rules they need to review in more depth before taking the test.
