Slides 23 - 35 only for lesson #2 [I recommend covering the first slides--1-22 in the previous unit. Adding on sourcing & complexity now]

You may want to use documents from the 2009 Peasants Revolt DBQ

I also have an Intro to the DBQ COVID Resource in my shoppe. It builds on the free version with documents, samples & themed practice DBQs

→ You could use the DBQ below if you want to wait for a graded DBQ.

→ If time permits, you can have students Peer grade (see slides 36 - 37)

    10. DBQ: Causes of the Reformation  (approx time: 60 minutes)

    KC 2.2 & 2.3

There is a graphic organizer for the DBQ if you do not want students to write the essay but just want to focus on document analysis.

This DBQ can also be assigned earlier in the unit, but it serves as a good way to review.

    11. Review Challenge

This activity covers main ideas from the unit and allows students to develop critical thinking skills that can be helpful on the exam. Question types include chronology of events (to practice deducing and reviewing the flow of events), T or F, fill in the blank, and quote identification.

It is suggested you allow no more than 30 minutes for students to complete, working in groups. Then, exchange papers and have students peer grade. I like to give prizes to the team(s) with the most correct answers!

    ASSESSMENT:

    Short Answer Questions (linked)

There are 3 versions included, each with 1 stimulus-based question & rubrics.

Though College Board grades on a 0 or 1 scale, I prefer to grade on a spectrum to encourage students to write better answers and more easily convert to a grade in the class

Multiple Choice Exam - 45 questions (click the link to access the exam. You will need to make a copy to modify the questions)
