Adding Worms Compost Craft

Preschoolers will practice addition by using real or fake worms. The students will add them together in the bins. If using yarn, students can cut and paste into each bin. If using real worms, students can explore the textures and movement of worms as they place them on each bin.

This directly relates to the CA preschool standards: Science:2.2.1: Record information in greater detail in various ways, with adult assistance, including pictures, charts, journals, models, photos, or by graphing information. 

Science:3.1.2: Indicate greater knowledge of body parts and processes in  humans and other animals.
