Description

Are you looking for a resource to help prepare your students for Algebra 1 standardized testing? Then the Algebra 1 EOC Review is for you!

A review sheet is provided for every standard grouping (21 total) that is on the Algebra 1 FSA and EOC. Everything is provided for the Florida Math Standards (MAFS) and Common Core Standards. The standards that are included are shown in the preview file.

The topics covered include:

  • Solving Equations
  • Inequalities
  • Functions
  • Graphing Linear Equations
  • Writing Linear Equations
  • Systems Of Equations
  • Simplifying Polynomials
  • Radicals
  • Exponents
  • Factoring
  • Quadratic Equations
  • Exponential Equations
  • Statistics

Each review sheet covers a different standard grouping. The groupings are provided in the preview file. Every review sheet is broken into two sections. The top is a quick review which has questions that review the basics. The bottom is the EOC/FSA review which contains questions that have more depth. These questions are based on the types of questions described in the "Algebra I EOC Item Specifications" published by Florida Standard Assessments. Please contact me if you would like a link to this document. Each review sheet has an average of nine total problems. A typical page would have 6 quick review questions and 3 FSA review questions.

There are many ways to use these review sheets. You could have students work on the quick review as homework and do the test review together as a warm-up the following day. Students could work cooperatively on the problems and then go over the solutions with the class. It could also be used as part of a "bootcamp" for students who are retaking the exam.

Each review is provided in both pdf and word files. All problems are worked out step by step and an answer key is provided.

I hope this helps you review with your students. Good luck!

Explain how the definition of the meaning of rational exponents follows from extending the properties of integer exponents to those values, allowing for a notation for radicals in terms of rational exponents. For example, we define 5 to the 1/3 power to be the cube root of 5 because we want (5 to the 1/3 power)ยณ = 5 to the (1/3)(3) power to hold, so (5 to the 1/3 power)ยณ must equal 5.
Rewrite expressions involving radicals and rational exponents using the properties of exponents.
Explain why the sum or product of two rational numbers is rational; that the sum of a rational number and an irrational number is irrational; and that the product of a nonzero rational number and an irrational number is irrational.
Interpret expressions that represent a quantity in terms of its context.
Interpret parts of an expression, such as terms, factors, and coefficients.
