Description

The city of Pompeii was a major resort city during the times of Ancient Rome. However, in 79 AD, disaster struck the city when it was buried under 20 feet of ash and debris from the eruption of the nearby volcano, Mount Vesuvius.

As your students learn about this famous historic city and what amazing discoveries archeologists would later find, they gain factual information while learning to read for information and using research skills.

I added an Easel version of this webquest. I made the links active within Easel and provided answer boxes for your students. I did not include the word find. It can be found in the pdf with the answer key.
