Description

Do your students need help organizing and writing their animal reports? Look no further than our Animal Report Research Templates, Graphic Organizers, and Report Writing options!

This informational writing unit is designed with nonfiction research and report writing in mind. It is a fun, engaging way to get your students to research an animal of their choice, and it works for science, reading, and writing.

ANIMAL RESEARCH REPORT WRITING RESOURCES INCLUDE

  • graphic organizers for research
  • genre posters
  • full-page report pages
  • half-page report pages
  • trifold reports

It includes four different report options with various pages to pick from.

Students' journey in writing animal reports starts by prompting students to decide on an animal to research and then reading outside books and animal articles, and watching videos about the animal. To support students during the research process, our resource provides dedicated note-taking tools and activities where they can take down all of their findings. To cap it off, there are plenty of report pages included so students can express all that they have learned.

This resource is designed for second-grade to fifth grade and can be differentiated by choosing specific graphic organizers and pages that meet the needs and levels of your students. Teachers can also adjust the editable rubric and checklist to meet grade-appropriate expectations.
