Apple Experiment: APPLE VOLCANOES -

Such a FUN activity to do during APPLE WEEK!!!

MATERIALS NEEDED -

- A dish for the experiment

- One Granny Smith Apple

- One Red Delicious Apple

- Baking Soda

- Vinegar

VOCABULARY - (The following are words you might want to review before you begin):

- Prediction

- Hypothesis

- Experiment

- Conclusion

- Results

- Labels

Students will begin the experiment making a prediction about what they think will happen. (Which apple might have the bigger reaction).

They will color the skin to match the apples.

After the experiment, they will draw conclusions by choosing the apple that did have the bigger reaction (if one did). Then they will draw a picture to illustrate the experiment. Don't forget to label! :)
