This awesome EDITABLE Spanish technology vocabulary and activities unit will teach students useful vocabulary in order to communicate about their favorite topics like technology, Facebook, Twitter, and surfing the Internet.
This tecnología unit includes thorough Spanish to English and English to Spanish vocabulary lists for Spanish classes as well as a Spanish/English combined list. There are fun expressions like guglear, enviar los mensajes de texto, tuitear (to tweet), riendose en voz alta (LOL) as well as computer vocabulary, cell phone vocabulary and more - el ordenador, navegar por el Internet, los altavoces, descargar, el teclado, la impresora, jugar videojuegos, la conexion Wifi, el correo basura, hacer clic, etc.
There are activities to spark students’ interest in speaking and writing about their use of technology. Students will love filling out the fun technology survey and then discussing their results with classmates.
There are also vocabulary practices and drawing activities, a Facebook page for students to fill out and share, a Twitter writing activity, and essay topics about their use of technology. There are also two vocabulary quizzes included with answer keys.
Also included is a LINK to a video and transcript that utilizes much of this unit’s technology vocabulary. Students can listen to the video, circle the new vocabulary words they hear, and reinforce the vocabulary while watching this excellent 5 minute video.
