Six (6) Fast Fluency and Comprehension resources designed to help older struggling students gain reading confidence - all in one bundle. These passages look "grown-up," but the reading levels are accessible and the program is research based. This bundle contains over 800 page of resources. This program is designed to help older students achieve fluency through low-level, grade appropriate, timed reading passages/assessments – in as little as 10 minutes a day.
Fast Fluency and Comprehension
These passages are non-fiction, high interest, content rich, fluency passages appropriate for grades 5 through 12 – at reading levels from grades 2 through 5. Each passage is followed by comprehension exercises. The passages are designed to be read once a day for five days. The comprehension exercises are designed to be spread out over a week’s time as well. Content and grade level words repeat throughout the passages and work to help relieve student frustration. They may also be used as one day passages. Works great for take home as well.
Fast Fluency Phonics
These resources are designed to help older students achieve reading fluency through phonics and timed assessments – in as little as 10 minutes a day. This program works in pairs, one-on-one, take home and even has Zoom instructions.
The Fast Fluency Phonics program is designed around the research of Hasbrouck, Glaser, Tindal and Hasbrouck that asserts that students are motived and gain reading fluency by reading and re-reading short passages – paired one-on-one with like-leveled peers. It also works as a distance learning resource – whereby students read alone, with a family member or via Zoom with a partner
This resource addresses many levels of fluency and is naturally differentiated.
I have also successfully used this program working one-on-one with students as well as sending it home as homework – for students to work with their parents. This program contains assessments, sentence practice worksheets, word worksheets, reading passages – and more.
Also included -- are easy to follow instructions, fluency charts, grade level fluency charts, student record blackline master, parent/teacher letter. And finally, turnkey digital resources - in various formats - is included for Distance Learning.
