This Mini unit is all about the hottest Latin artist in urban music right now, Bad Bunny. It is designed to be a teaching text and an introduction to preterite and imperfect with a large focus on the present tense. It will work well with students that are used to reading easy readers.
In this unit students will
*learn about the artist, Bad Bunny, and his first full album 100PRE.
*watch a 14 minute biography (English)
* complete comprehension activities
* make flashcards (with cute emojis on them)
* recognize patterns in preterite (el and yo)
* play games and use manipulatives
* focus on vocabulary in context
* run around answering questions on Task Cards (or not run)
* color-code verbs
* decipher and deduce meanings
* manipulate language to make it about them
* make text to self connections (20 of those actually)
* become reporters and conduct class interviews to get quotes from their peers
* Play 4 different games of Quizlet Live
* Enjoy any number of the EXTRA 10 games/activities included in our guides
* draw and retell what they learned
* take a 20 question short answer quiz
* (Slides with review questions for exit tickets or warm-ups included)
A minimum of a week's worth of fun in here!! (depending on the level of student, the length of your classes, and how many of the activities you decide to include - I teach 84 min blocks and this is a full week for me)
