What educators are saying

This has honestly been one of my favorite resources EVER from TPT! I love the "painting" technique and my students loved creating "ugly sweaters" in a fun way! Thank you for creating and sharing!
My students and I all love this winter activity. It is the perfect filler during that crazy week before break. I like to print off students class photos and place them so it looks like everyone is wearing their sweater and the kids love it!

Description

Need no prep, Christmas art projects for your December bulletin board? Imagine these ugly sweaters in your hallway with a writing prompt. The step by step drawing tutorial and PowerPoint also makes perfect emergency art sub plans for elementary art and general ed teachers.

A fun roll a dice game, ‘you pick’ worksheet, and digital spinners helps kids choose patterns. Moreover, boost their confidence and creativity.

And, it’ll help cash-strapped teachers like you plan Christmas art activities using only markers. Yes, you can watercolor paint with markers! This holiday art lesson includes an ugly sweater template for easy drawing.

Can I tell you a secret? It’s hard to get kids writing in ELA. When they’re not invested in it, they can’t connect with what they’re writing about. Mic drop! Incorporating creative Christmas art activities like this fun ugly sweater project helps. Finally keep all kids engaged!

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great resource! It was easy to set up and took almost no time to prep. The powerpoint was wonderful and I used it to go along with my sequencing unit. The students enjoyed the process and really made beautiful "ugly sweaters!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used this resource with my classes as a fun way to celebrate the holidays. They loved it and had a great time interacting with each other and creating their sweaters. I will definitely continue using this in years to come.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My students LOVED this activity! Last December, I had them decorate their ugly sweaters when I had a sub. I made the game aspect optional. We happened to be working on opinion writing at the time, so this was a great starting point for engaging students in one last writing assignment before the break. I especially like that it's a festive winter activity, but without being holiday-specific. Wonderful resource!
