This was the perfect resource to build our own class recipe book. I printed it and gave it to my students for their end of year gift.
I've used this two years in a row now for parent Christmas gifts and LOVE it. My only suggestion would be if you could make the recipe space a bit wider- many of the recipes sent in didn't fit and my kinders write to big to be able to write it themselves. Otherwise, love it!

DIY Class Recipe Book
Perfect for special holidays, like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Fathers' Day, Mothers' Day!
Create your own class recipe book by interviewing your students on their favourite special dish to eat with their families! OR, have students complete the recipe pages themselves! See the product photos and preview for more!
For younger students, this often results in hilarious recipes (see below!)
For older students, this is a good activity on writing clear instructions and can be a thoughtful gift for families.

5 recipe page template themes with two pages per theme!
This file is a POWERPOINT file. Please ensure that you have powerpoint installed on your computer before purchasing. The product must be opened in the powerpoint program to fill out the text boxes. If you have opened it in an internet browser after downloading, it will not work. Click download, and then double-click on the file to open. You can quickly and easily fill out the included text boxes included in the file as your children dictate their recipes for easy assembly! Or, delete the texts boxes and print them out for students to fill themselves.
I created this product to be used in my Kindergarten classroom! I will update the product to include pictures of our finalized recipe book and examples of the kids' recipes for inspiration closer to the holidays!
An example from one of my students:
****'s Holiday Letter Noodles
"Ingredients:
Noodles
Cinnamon
Cookie crumbs
Milk
Chocolate
Ham
Directions:
Go to the store and buy some cinnamon. Then, put some milk on the cinnamon. Wait for the milk and cinnamon to dry out. Put some noodles on it, and then some ham on it! Roll it up into a ball roll it well to mix it up. Put it in the oven for 25 hours. Then you have to cut some off, and then it's ready to eat! Yummy! "
As you can see, scribing the kids verbatim gives funny results! I can't wait for our families to read through this sweet and funny recipes.
