Suitable for STAAR EOC instruction in Texas. Struggling students use APETPECC acronym to write thoughtful, fully developed responses to connecting selections open-ended questions.
This strategy is designed to earn a two score point. After mastery, students easily may be coached up to a three score point short answer response.
This strategy also is transferable to a synthesis essay. Students will be able to build upon this skill to write document-based essays.
