What educators are saying

Love the functionality of these strips--always have them available to use during any of my speech groups!
Such a great resource to use and supplement alongside other materials and activities, especially during mixed group sessions!

Description

Help close the academic gap for kids on your caseload with this easy-to-use speech therapy activity. Simultaneously address academically relevant vocabulary while targeting articulation, phonology, and language through high quality repetition practice and exposure without adding more work for yourself!

How does it work?

This is a CREATIVE and ENGAGING way for SLP's to obtain high repetition trials that looks at kids as a whole. You already drill different words during therapy, just use these intentionally selected targets during sessions to connect speech with the student's curriculum! DISCUSS the words using the concept organizer for MULTIPLE trials while PROVIDING vocabulary instruction!

New to concept organizers? No problem! I've included step by step instructions for immediate use!

✅ Includes HUNDREDS of leveled visuals based off of academic vocabulary for early elementary students (kindergarten-2nd grade). Content areas include general curriculum, science, social studies, math, and ELA.

Here's what you'll get:

  • Research explaining why SLP's should utilize academically relevant vocabulary during sessions.
  • Step by step instructions so you can confidently integrate academic vocabulary during speech sessions.
  • Recommended activities
  • Leveled targets
  • Data Collection Sheets
  • Concept Organizer modeled after Marzano's 6-Step Process for teaching vocabulary.
  • Vocabulary Notebook Page so students can keep organizers all in one place! (perfect to review at the end of therapy sessions and/or during holiday and summer breaks to prevent regression).
  • Visual Strip Covers for simple organization.

SLP’s  like you said…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Love using this with my students to carryover academic vocabulary and making their classroom learning relevant to speech learning. -McKenna S.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love these strips! Great for academic vocabulary and reminds me of other words kids are learning that I may not think about. My students love the pictures and don't feel overwhelmed even when they have to practice all the words on a strip.-Rachael L.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great resource!  I love combining more academic words with articulation.  These are easy to grab and go.  We can use them with so many different activities as well.  -Jessica L.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️An amazing resource. SO helpful for getting a quick read on how much students are understanding words. I probed these in a small group and was able to watch the students helping each other to define and act out words. Then I was able to give "challenge" or "bonus" words and email home to parents for carryover, as well as share with teachers. Really worth using throughout the year, each session. -Margaret M.
