Digital Daily Afternoon Check-In Activity- CANVAS and other platforms

Connecting with students during distance learning is HARD. It made me realize how much I took normal everyday classroom encounters for granted. It is important to get to know our students to be able to meet their learning needs and appeal to their interests. So- I incorporated an everyday afternoon check-in on Microsoft Forms. The form has 2 social emotional style questions and one self-evaluation of daily work. I love it, because it is a quick and simple way for students to stay in touch with me each day. It has worked wonders in helping me get to know my students. I embed the forms directly into Canvas and students can access on their page.
