What educators are saying

My students enjoyed the fun of the escape room. I was glad they were learning/reviewing while having fun. I divided the class into partners but very few of my students were able to complete the challenge in 45 minutes so I would probably extend it to an hour next time.
Fantastic resource! So easy and engaging! My students look forward to using it! Definitely recommend!

    Description

As teachers, we all love to give our students engaging activities to review skills within our classrooms. Escape rooms are extremely engaging, but also help you to see who is still struggling with what skills! Win, Win.

However, if you’re anything like me, some days you’re just #TeacherTired. Stuffing 50 envelopes to hide around the room just made me even more tired thinking about, but at the same time, I still wanted my students to get to participate in these Classroom Escape Room or Break Out Room style activities! This is why I adapted the way I do “Escape Rooms” in my class!

My escape rooms are truly LOW PREP. I used to call the Low Prep, but after much feedback from others - the name has been changed to PRINT & GO! They are truly No Prep for you, other than printing them out, and your kids will be reviewing in no time!

Also, these now include two DIGITAL versions of each of the Classroom Escape challenges. One version allows students to solve each challenge on Google Slides and then use the self-checking Google Form before submitting their slides for you to see. The other version solely allows students to submit their answers via Google Forms, so you can see their answers. Either way you choose, all you have to do is download and share the link with your students!

This Digital and Print & Go Classroom Escape Room Bundle includes 3 End of Year - Reading, Math, and Language Arts reviews. I provide my students with 45 minutes to "breakout" or "escape the classroom" by solving all of the challenges before time runs out! However, you are able to tweak the time to fit your students' needs. You can break it up over a few days or do it all in one class period.

These particular Classroom Escape covers standards that would fit the needs for 3rd and 4th grade classes. However, I have gotten much feedback that it also works for 5th graders as a spiral review.

    Skills these Escape Rooms includes:

There's not an easier or more engaging way to get your students ready for end of year state testing/ STAAR testing / or whatever state tests you take without the kill and drill of practice tests and worksheets! It also helps to encourage collaboration and higher order thinking. In my opinion, it's the best test prep because kids love it and it's effective in reviewing the standards!

    Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
A square with side length 1 unit, called “a unit square,” is said to have “one square unit” of area, and can be used to measure area.
Measure areas by counting unit squares (square cm, square m, square in, square ft, and improvised units).
Relate area to the operations of multiplication and addition.
