How does it work?

Before beginning the mystery, decide who you want to organize it. Small group, whole group, partners, individual. You decide what works best for your classroom and your students. Once students are grouped and logged onto technology, give them the URL to access the content.

Students will be directed to the homepage of the digital mystery. It gives a little breakdown of how to play and what to expect. There is a 45 minute timer that is optional. Also included are graphic organizers. Print them directly from this resource or have students use Adobe to type their answers in.

Students will begin by reading the introduction which gives a backstory to set the stage for the mystery. After reading the introduction, there is a prompt at the bottom of the page that says “click here”. This will redirect students to the setting of the mystery. There are 11 icons on the page. Students should read the clues in order. The green x should be done last!

Remind students to keep track of the clues on their graphic organizer. They will answer important questions related to the mystery at the end of the game. At the end, students will give their theory and be able to read the answer. After submitting their response, click review answers.

  • Students will work on inferencing, collaboration, comprehension, team building, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning.
  • Use the teacher instructions for helping students be successful during their mystery game experience.
  • Digital and print copies of graphic organizers are included! There are multiple options for graphic organizers. Choose the one that works best for your class!
  • Clues include; puzzles, reading, comprehension, and more!

Are you ready? Let’s have some fun!
