Looking for a fun, simple way to build your French maternelle students' vocabulary while helping them learn the alphabet and associate letters to their sounds or anchor words? These 28 alphabet colouring/tracing sheets will be a perfect addition to your French alphabet instruction & practice time!
Students will read and trace each letter, and colour 1-6 images of objects that begin with that letter (*please note that focus is on the beginning LETTER, not the beginning sound - for example, envelope and exercise both begin with the letter e, but start with different sounds*).
Most pages have 6 images, but, as I’m sure you can appreciate, images for certain letters proved very difficult to find, so some letters have fewer than 6 images. There is also a sheet for each of hard and soft c and g - so 28 sheets total.
These sheets are perfect for your colouring centre at the beginning of the year, or as an introduction or wrap-up activity to an alphabet lesson. They are also great for building vocabulary!
