Description
This activity will help students to practice factor by grouping. Included is a set of guided notes and a connect 4 game. There are 30 problems in the connect four game for students to factor by grouping. Types of problems include factoring out a common number factor, variable factor and multi-variable factor. Some problems include 3 variables to factor.
To play Connect Four students will take turns picking a problem from the problem sheet. They will factor the expression by grouping then cross off the matching factors on the game board. Play continues until one partner has 4 in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally on their board. Interested to see how the connect 4 game works or is laid out?
