    Description

    Here are 12 reader's theater scripts for common fairy and folk tales with parts for emergent, transitional and fluent Grade 1 and 2 readers. A list of approximate reading levels for each part is included as well as follow-up reader response worksheets and organizers for students to write their own fractured fairy tale and/or script. The details:

    The 12 Reader's Theater scripts :

    Cinderella, The Elves and the Shoemaker, the Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, The little Red Hen, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Snow White, Three Billy Goat Gruff and the Three Little Pigs.

    Reading levels range from High Emergent to Fluent allowing for mixed ability groupings with each script. A list of the approximate reading level for each part is included.

    Reader Response Worksheets that can be used with all of the scripts. They cover characters, setting, plot, message and prediction of what happens after "happily ever after".

    Templates and Organizers for students to create their own fractured fairy tale and/or reader's theater script. Includes character, setting and plot planning outlines as well as narrator and character dialogue templates.
