Description

In this lesson, students will explore the emergence of Feudalism and its impact on Western Europe during the Middle Ages. The Pear Deck presentation includes interactive slides that offer opportunities for students to practice fundamental ELA skills, analyze sources, and watch a BrainPOP video that explains the workings of Feudalism. The primary objective is for students to construct a written response that assesses the role Feudalism played during the Middle Ages. The lesson incorporates a range of mixed-level questions that guide instruction and encourage students to hone their ELA skills, such as locating and citing textual evidence, applying domain-specific vocabulary, and composing clear written responses. Additionally, students will practice essential reading comprehension skills.
