What educators are saying

Very easy to prepare and the visuals were a great addition. Easily adaptable for different levels using various core and fringe vocabulary.
This was a great resource that made sense for my PK students! They loved going into the teacher's lounge to listen, smell and watch the popcorn pop and then taste it after.

What you need:

To complete Observation Activity:

Air popcorn machine, popcorn kernels or microwave popcorn and microwave (butter and salt optional)

*When I do this classroom observation with my class I use an air popcorn machine (I got mine at target for $19.99 and I love it), but if you do not have one and do not want to purchase one, you can still complete this activity with microwave popcorn.

To complete craftivity Popcorn Shaker:

2 paper plates per student, popcorn kernels, stapler, glue stick

Five Senses Popcorn Observation Activity:

1. Put together the Popcorn Observation Book – cut on the dotted lines and staple the pages together

2. Make POPCORN! - Students can complete the observation book while making the popcorn by circling, coloring, or daubing their answers. Talk about how you use your five senses to learn about popcorn.
