Description

In this simple, but effect lab activity, students will be able to:

(Objectives):

1. Name the four main groups of bones based on shape.

2. Identify the classification of major bones of the body.

Materials Needed for this lab:

I love this lab because it helps my forensics students learn key skeletal system concepts in a simplified and condensed format. Teachers will find this resource simple and easy to use and understand. Students will learn the five main classifications of bone as they relate to forensic analysis. Students will practice identifying and categorizing the major bones of the body.

This lab accompanies my Forensics Unit Plan 14: Human Remains. Use the lab by itself, along with the Unit 14 Lesson Plan, or get the complete Unit 14 Resource Bundle:

Forensics Unit Plan 14: Human Remains (Forensic Anthropology)

Optional Lab Activity: Forensic Bones by Flynn Scientific (Not included in this bundle. Must be purchased at Flynn)
