What educators are saying

One of my favorite activities that I do with my students. I love the notebook cover and letter to parents.
What a great way to end the week and let parents know what happened in the classroom all week long! THANKS!

Description

Friday Journals are an amazing tool to help with parent communication and student reflection.

Each Friday, students will reflect on their learning from the week and write a friendly letter to their parents, older sibling, or other family member and parents or another family member will then write back.

Included:
--Friday Journal Cover page
--Letter to Parents written from student point of view
--2 types of writing paper with areas for both student writing and parent writing (1 primary lined, 1 regular lined)

In my class, we first spend time learning about how to write a friendly letter. Then each Friday, we brain storm ideas about what we did and learned and I write some key words on the board based on what they share.
