Description

Finally! A research-based, standards-based, real world math project! Students receive a job, salary, student loans, and credit card debt, and must buy a car and find an apartment to rent all within their calculated budget. They learn financial literacy in a fun and engaging way!

This download includes 26 job cards complete with a job description, requirements, nationally averaged salaries, credit card debt, and student loans. Salaries range from $30,000 to $750,000 and cover a wide range of options.

Also included are articles on the financial topics covered in the project (great for teaching a unit on financial literacy), reflection questions, and an optional grocery store homework assignment.

This is a great project that engages students in learning and applying math to the real world! I hope you enjoy!
