Grade 2, Unit 2: Patterning (Ontario Mathematics)

The Grade 2, Unit 2: Patterning resource is a 140+-paged unit designed to meet the 2020 Ontario Mathematics curriculum expectations for the Algebra strand. This unit introduces students to what patterns are and focuses on the changing elements of patterns. Students continue to learn that patterns are made up of shapes, objects, materials, numbers, and letters. This unit also focuses heavily on growing and shrinking numeric and geometric patterns and making predictions as to what will come next in the pattern. Please note this is a printable resource.
