Description

Practice integer addition and subtraction with this fun coordinate graphing picture activity that makes a pumpkin!

Students are given a variety of problems involving adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers. Each solution creates an ordered pair that students graph on the coordinate plane to reveal an image of a jack-o-lantern.

A great activity for a Halloween party, after a test, or just for fun. Coloring the graph is optional, but not part of the activity.

Two versions of the same worksheet are included. One version is a one-page worksheet to save paper. A second version is two pages and provides larger spaces for students to write answers along with a larger graph.

Answer key is included. (Note: The jack-o-lantern shown here is incorrect in case any students find this page!)
