I used this in the library as a part of my Hispanic Heritage month display and really enjoyed it! Well done!
I used these posters in my library. I picked a few of the famous people, printed out the sheet and hung them in the main hallway for everyone to see.

Description

Did you know September 15 - October 15 is Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month? The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September18, respectively. Also, Columbus Day or Día de la Raza, which is October 12, falls within this 30 day period. In America, we celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

70+ posters of Hispanics and Latinos from the past to present are represented. On every poster is the person's name (and sometimes birth name), picture, and an inspiring quote.

I made these posters for my students to see how many Hispanics and Latinos have made a difference in our country and world. I chose people from all kinds of fields - education, government, the arts, sports, science, activists, inventors, etc. I included many of the famous, well-known Hispanics, but I've also included modern-day Native Americans that are relevant to us now.

I use these posters to hang in my classroom or in the school hallway. Another idea is to have your students chose a Hispanic or Latino to study and used these posters as their cover page or to hang above their report about the person.

*If there is a Hispanic or Latino person that is not in this product and you would like me to add that person, please message or email me! Click on the preview to see the list of people in this product.
