What educators are saying

My 8th grade honor science class loved this lesson. I used it as an enrichment when we discussed multiple alleles in our genetics unit. This activity was engaging and challenging!

Description

Don't have the chemicals or equipment to do a blood typing lab? Teaching students through distance learning? Try this NO PREP resource that your students will love and learn from.

In this activity, students visualize how agglutination occurs in blood typing tests by working on various interactive pre-lab questions in Google Slides. Students are then introduced to a crime and two suspects. The objective in this lab is to have students determine the blood types from blood samples taken from the suspects and crime scene. Have students work individually, in pairs, or groups. Allow students to check their answers along the way or after they have completed the lab, and distribute the Google Form as a quiz or exit-ticket.
