Description
If you need a "get to know you" activity for the beginning of the year, look no further. Use this activity to learn more about your students and their feelings towards math class. This is also the perfect activity to get your students comfortable with the interactive notebook (INB) process. Use this in the beginning of the year to allow your students to practice cutting, writing, and gluing/taping into their interactive notebooks.
Students will reflect on their personal experiences in math classes, giving the teacher/instructor great insight to how each student feels about and approaches math.
This contains 7 INB activities:
Math is important to me because…
Math Class Memories (best/worst)
How do you feel about…
What do you expect to learn about in math class this year?
What do you usually do when you do not understand something in math class?
Who can help you with your math work outside of class?
Things that make me nervous in math class.
