The Colony at Jamestown: A Mini-Unit!

In student groups, the class will be given 10 different pictures that are related to Jamestown. Students will be given 10-15 minutes to put these images into a coherent storyline, one that makes sense. Once time has expired, have student groups explain what they believe happened at Jamestown, using the pictures to tell their story. Once all groups have presented, use the included PowerPoint to show the correct order of the images and the true story of what happened in Jamestown.
This lesson is a great introduction to teach about the horrors at Jamestown. Included in a zip file are 10 pictures that should be printed for each student group and a PowerPoint presentation that tell the correct order of the pictures and a caption of what each picture shows/represents. This product is now 1:1 Google compatible -- just share through Google or assign via Google Classroom!
