Japanese: Daily Routines Unit

This resource provides a wide variety of materials to enable teachers to confidently teach a unit based on describing daily routines. As I teach at the Primary School level I have created the unit for my Year 6 classes. However, depending on learner experience and knowledge the materials could be used at higher levels.

I have adopted a different approach from previous units. I have utilised aspects of ‘The Language Gym’, by Gianfranco Conti and Steve Smith, together with techniques used in ‘Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling’ (TPRS).

Rather than listing a teaching sequence separate from the materials, in this resource, the suggested teaching approaches are found before the materials and resources used, each step of the way. I hope this approach is useful and easy to follow.
