K-5 General Music Full Curriculum:

This curriculum plan is for K-5th grade general music. For each grade level you have: an overview of the concepts introduced, a 9 month/unit breakdown (in my setting, each month includes 4 days of music per class, so these unit plans are in 4 sections), a 36 lesson breakdown by lesson of the elements that are prepared, presented and practiced, and a detailed 36 lesson breakdown of completed lessons with suggestions for activities, songs, books, games and more!

This is a tool that I created for myself to make lesson planning throughout the year much easier, and I wanted to share it with you! I find that a year long overview helps me stay on track. We are all in different teaching situations so you may need to modify to meet your own needs.

K-5 Song Lists

This resource shares lists of songs compiled from 14 different resources! If you're looking for repertoire suggestions for K-5th grade, this is it! In each grade level you will find a list of concepts and a list of songs and which concepts they can be used to teach.

K-5 Music Curriculum Word Wall Cards:

This resource features 169 pages containing 505 word wall cards for grades K-5. These cards include grade level title cards for, important words and definitions (dynamics, tempo, movement, voices), solfege cards, rhythmic cards (with images of the rhythm, name, value), instrument cards (with images of the instrument and the title), meter cards, treble clef cards, music genres, music time periods, and more! Cards are color coded by grade level.
