Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

This set includes a variety of skills and is perfect for your new kindergartners. Skills included are:

Letter Hunt We're going on a letter hunt! A magnifying glass finds characters in a book and we hear "Is it a letter? If it is a letter, draw a happy face. If it is not a letter, draw a sad face." After your students have time to decide and draw on their boards, the video tells them what letter or number it is, their erase their answers, and repeat with another character. Click here to see a preview of it!

Counting Letters in Words Your students will see a word and count the number of letters in the word. This is a great mix of reading and math skills for your kindergartners! Click here to see a quick preview of this video.

Letter Sounds In this video, students hear a letter sound and decide if that is the beginning sound of a word. They draw a happy face or sad face to show their answers. Click here to see what this video is like!

Is it a Word, Letter or Sentence? A book opens and we see a letter, word or sentence. We hear and see a question asking if it is a letter/word/sentence. Your kids will draw a happy face or a sad face to show their answers. Click here to see an example of this video!

Counting to 5 How many crayons, backpacks, and worms in an apple are there? Your kinders will count up to five objects and write the number. They hear and see the correct answer before erasing their boards and counting again. Click here to see it!

Counting to 10 This video is similar to the one listed above it, but this time, students count up to ten objects. Click here to see it!

Listen and Write Numbers to 10 Your kindergartners will write the number they hear. Numbers are repeated three times before they are shown. Students erase their boards and repeat with another number. Click here to see a fast preview video!

Ten Frames All aboard the ten frame bus! Your kids will practice ten frames with this fun video. They write the number of students on the bus. They will hear and see the correct answers before erasing their boards and counting again! Click here to see it!

Colors There are so many colorful backpacks in this video! Your students will see a backpack and hear a question like, "is it blue?" They draw a happy face or sad face to show their answer. I love this because it is perfect for new kinders who are not able to write "yes" or "no". There is a hand that points to the words as they are spoken "is" "it" "blue". This is great for seeing that left to right direction of reading. The predictable text on each slide will get your class reading along in no time. "Is it red?" "Is it green?" Click here to see it!

Writing Lines This video reinforces left to right progression for beginning handwriting. Your students will follow directions and draw a variety of lines on their boards. Click here to see a quick preview!

Ordering numbers to 10 It's time for school and the fish have to put these number crabs in order. Your students will see three numbers and they have to write them in order on their boards. This video focuses on numbers to 10. Click here to see it!

Making 5 In this video we see part of five and must write how many are missing to make a total of 5. The animations on this one are so cute and the repetition of building 5 really helps those numbers stick. This is a great way to introduce addition to your kinders. Click here to see a preview of this video!

Bonus video #1 -

Sandwich Shapes - Mama bear is helping her cubs pack lunches for school. Will the sandwiches fit in the lunchboxes? Your kids will draw a happy face or sad face to show their answers. I love this one because it is all about following directions and a great introduction to shapes. Click here to see a preview of this video.

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
