What educators are saying

My students love the monthly prompts! These are easy to use and I love how they scaffold the writing for my students.
Very happy with this resource. Contains a variety of writing prompts I used for my higher students to help facilitate independent writing. Thank you.

    Description

200+ Writing Prompts for Kindergarten!! This is a HUGE bundle of interactive writing prompts with 20 activity pages for each month (September-June).

These guided writing activities are perfect for your beginning writers! With fun, interactive designs, this thematic collection will engage even the most reluctant writer. Designed to keep the teaching-time to a minimum, each activity sheet includes a prompt or question, alongside a template and word bank. Students work towards writing independently with standards woven in. Your students will work on specific skills such as capitalization rules, punctuation, nouns, verbs, adjectives, commas, phrases, poetry, opinions, polls, comparisons, sequences and so much more! This set will grow with your students as each month builds new skills and accounts for growing ability. Best of all, students will cut and paste their writing samples into a notebook that will not only serve as a writing portfolio, but as a special keepsake for families.

    How to Use:

Each writing prompt is designed to allow students to complete the activity independently. Students are asked a simple question, and then given a writing template to follow in order to answer the question. The word bank contains any words the student might need to personalize the response. Students copy and write their answers on the shaped writing templates. Then, students cut out their writing and glue it inside their composition notebook.

    What’s Included:

Each monthly pack includes 20 interactive writing prompts for beginning writers. It is recommended that students keep all of their writing samples in their own notebook. This will serve as a keepsake and a portfolio of work.

    REQUIRED MATERIALS:

    · 1 Wide-Ruled Notebook or Composition Notebook/student. Note that some cut-outs might not fit in the smaller composition style books, so a general wide-ruled spiral notebook is recommended.

    · Pencil

    · Scissors

    · Glue Stick

    · Crayons or Colored Pencils.
