What educators are saying

I loved this for a quick exit ticket. We used it after our kitchen safety lesson and the kids had fun doing it.

Description

This one-day activity is a great, quick formative or summative assessment for a lesson on kitchen safety. Students will use either Google software (ex. drawings) or an online meme generator to create a meme that represents a kitchen safety topic or main idea. This document contains a graphic organizer that encourages students to plan their work with the topic (ex. cuts and knife safety, flames, heat, and shocks, childproofing, foodborne illness, oven and stove safety), main idea of meme, meme image, meme text, and a brief explanation of the idea of the meme (to demonstrate understanding of the kitchen safety concept and ensure thorough and appropriate planning). A simple rubric graded out of 20 is also included. This is a word document so that you may edit as you see fit. Get in on the meme craze and keep your students engaged while demonstrate gain valuable knowledge on kitchen lab safety!
