This package contains two tasks that can be used as an activity and/or assessment. They are great for formal or informal observations. Before these tasks are given students should be familiar with all properties of integer exponents. In both tasks, students will apply the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent expressions. Students will also have to explain and justify their answers.
