What educators are saying

These menus were perfect to use for our functional menu math unit. They provided a physical menu style that the students enjoyed!
Students loved that it looked like areal menu. We aldso used the menus so students could practice jobs in a resturant.

Description

Menu Math - 3 Levels!!

This Menu Math resource targets so many skills to help your students with life skills, math, and money. You can find a Canadian Set HERE.

Skills include:

Reading and understanding a menu

Ordering from a menu

Adding 3- digit dollar amounts

Counting bills (Level 1)

Counting bills and quarters (Level 2)

Counting bills and mixed coins (Level 3)

Students answer four questions about the menu prices; even non-readers are able to match the menu words with the question. Then, they select two items they'd like to order from the menu. They write the prices down and add them together. Last, they circle the amount of bills or coins they need to purchase their food. So no money is needed, but you can add it in for additional practice.

Each level includes 10 worksheets. Common fast food places are included that all students are familiar with. Each one includes a menu cover jacket (as shown on cover photo) that prints on the back of each worksheet to fold in half to resemble a "real" menu. You can use these with or without the jackets, but the jackets make it more fun and realistic.
