What educators are saying
Description
Make teaching the light waves science lesson for NGSS™ easy and fun when you have vocabulary cards, photos, a journal, and a variety of worksheets! Your 1st grade students will learn the concepts of transparent, translucent and opaque using these light and shadow activities. Let your students experiment to understand the effect of placing objects made with different materials in the path of a beam of light. This resource will help you teach it all.
Gather a few suggested materials from your classroom or home and let your first graders get their hands on real objects to conduct investigations and experiment with light waves. Then use the journal and various worksheets to document their observations. They will think like scientists: ask a question, make a plan, and observe. This resource makes it easy for you to develop the skills of the future scientists in your classroom.
