What educators are saying

I wanted a cute idea for a family craft to make during my Homeroom time and this was perfect! The parents loved it!
I love this item! As a parent I also appreciate the thought behind it. Super low prep and very easy for little hands to put together.

Description

Are you looking for a non - memory book end of the school year activity that will have your students remembering your time together well into the future? This end of year craft project and writing activity also works great as gifts to students, and will be used regularly and brings families closer together. This flexible resource is a FAVORITE with families and teachers.

Family Dinner Conversation Starters is a very popular end of the school year craft with great feedback from teachers like you. You can even have the kids design their own containers as a May STEM activity. Your 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th graders will think of you when they use it with their families in years to come.

Use the included writing paper to write a letter for parents . The editable or blank cards included in this packet are great for personalized questions. Best of all, it includes digital and printable versions for other holidays and seasonal events so you can reuse it for:

  • Back to School Activities (first day of school or first week of school)
  • Grandparents Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Hanukkah
  • Christmas
  • Valentine's Day
  • Mother's Day
  • End of the School Year
  • Father's Day

It is so much more than a craftivity because it helps to strengthen your students' relationship with their parents and caregivers and other loved ones and also helps to further develop a stronger home to school connection. The final product is such a great way for families to learn about what is happening during their child's school day.

This will be your go to gift to students because it is meaningful and special. It is also low cost and easy to make in the classroom. It will quickly become a favorite annual project. Your students’ families will surely thank you! It truly is A Gift That Keeps on Giving!

TOP 3 REASONS YOU NEED THIS:

❶ Unlike a craft that will be tucked away, hundreds of parents have reported how much they LOVE this gift because it brings the family closer together.

❷ It is the perfect combination of NO PREP, LOW COST MATERIALS and EASY TO DO yet more valuable than any other gift you could have your kids make.

❸ It makes it easy for students from non-traditional families to make more than one gift so both homes are equally included.

MY STORY & HOW THIS FABULOUS RESOURCE CAME TO BE:

Every year I would struggle to come up with an idea for gifts that my students could make for their families or that I could gift to them. Some of the obstacles I faced included time, cost, and level of difficulty. Many of my students came from non-traditional homes and would therefore need to produce more than one gift. Also, not all of my students celebrate the same holiday so I needed to come up with something that was versatile. This has been a hit in my classroom for years as well as one of my most popular products.

I recently gave it a complete makeover with updated fonts and images and made the optional blank cards differentiated with and without lines to meet the needs of all your learners. It’s designed to be used with short Pringles cans, but you can use any container (jar, can, paper bag, mason jar, etc). Teachers use it for Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, an End of Year Project and as a Back to School Activity.

Be sure to read the wonderful feedback this has received over the years. It is one of my favorite products of all time and something I cherish using in my own house with my three children as it really helps us stay connected when life gets busy.
