Making Butter Task Cards | Thanksgiving Writing

Making butter can be a popular activity anytime of the school year but is often done during the Thanksgiving Holiday Season. If you haven't tried this fun activity, your students will love learning how to make butter, practice sequencing stories, and it makes for the perfect Thanksgiving Writing activity or just an all around great way to practice retelling a sequence of events. HOW TO USE YOUR DOWNLOAD:
►Print the task cards of your choice and post on your
board or project them on your Smartboard along with
the poem/song.
►Follow the sequence and students can pass one jar
while sitting in a circle together or they can each have their own
jar to shake.
►The less cream in the jar, the quicker the shaking will go.
►Your students can enjoy their butter on crackers, saltines, corn
muffins, or bread upon completion.
►This makes for the perfect writing opportunity. Students will
condense steps and sequence the steps required to make butter
and can write them upon the graphic organizers.
