What educators are saying

I have some students on the autism spectrum who wanting to learn and initiate some early play skills but do not know how to do so. This was a great resource to help them with their friendship skills.
I have used this resource again and again with several of my students. It's simple. It's engaging. It's appropriate for the topic.

Description

How to Treat Friends Social Story | Social stories are an effective way to teach students how to manage emotions and teach social norms, skills, and routines. Social skills are important because they allow us to communicate and problem solve. For students with special needs and more specifically, our friends with Autism, we need to teach these skills.

Knowing how to act manage emotions can be tricky. Use this Making Friends interactive social story to teach your students about appropriate behaviors for when interacting with their friends.

What is included?

• multiple versions of answer pieces to better meet the needs of your students

• 12 scenario task cards to get students talking about inappropriate and appropriate behaviors

• a picture "how to" guide to help you put the interactive storyboard together

Still need more interactive pieces to meet the needs of your students?

Not a problem! Send me an email and I will send you up to 4 more interactive pieces to help you individualize the storyboard more. You can find my email in the TOU included in the download.
