Description
This resource contains practice problems and a project to reinforce the marketing mix. Inside you'll find business scenarios that make learning real-world applicable. Your high school students will identify the 4 Ps in a computer scenario, research the 4 Ps for a candy company, and apply the 4Ps in a magazine ad project for toothpaste. This resource is perfect for your introduction to the marketing mix lesson and Intro to Marketing or Marketing I curriculum.
This product identifies the 4Ps as product, place, price, and promotion.
The first scenario provides a written description of a fictional technology company. Students will identify the 4 Ps in the text. Suggested answers are included.
Next, students will research a candy company (suggested list included) and identify the 4 Ps for the business. After students have finished, have them share their findings with the class. There is no answer key for this activity because answers will vary based on the companies researched.
Then, students will create a magazine ad using the 4Ps for a toothpaste brand. This project can be completed with a design program such as Canva™ or you can have students use another program or paper to draw their design. The resource includes project instructions, a planning worksheet, and a grading rubric. A planning worksheet is included to help students organize their ideas before starting on the project.
Extend the lesson by having students create a collage to visually reinforce the marketing mix.
