Math By Myself - The Bundle Distance Learning

I created this pack for Math By Myself or Math at My Seat for my students to use during our Guided Math "Math By Myself" station.

***I will be adding graphing to this bundle as well. Any other "Math By Myself" products will be added for free to this bundle.

Once I have taught our concepts whole group, I allow my students the opportunity to practice the skills independently. My students typically complete this packet in 2/3 sessions in the Math By Myself center. Whatever isn't finished can be used as an early finisher, morning work, or extra practice. This can also be sent home for parents to help review with their child before our test.

Money Poem/Song and Activities

I created this ORIGINAL poem for use in my first grade classroom. This poem is copyright protected - please DO NOT use this poem in your own products - (this is a copyright violation)

This is a poem about money. It is sung to the tune of Up on the Housetop

I have included a PDF in color and black and white to project through your promethean board. I have students come up and highlight and underline the words and features as we go.

I also have a color and black and white mini copy of each poem for the students poetry notebook.

I also include a printable that can be used as an assessment or can be used to answer one question each day in their notebook.

You will find the poetry word center strips included - It includes plain strips with the poem in strips. The other version includes some words missing that can be cut out and velcroed in place of the blank space.

You will also find a 5 day lesson plan as well that focus on different spelling or grammar features.

You have the option of having students write the poem in their poetry notebook as well.

Patterns and Sorting

I've included the following cut/glue:

3 repeating letter/short vowel patterns cut and glue to reinforce patterns using letters.

3 label and choose the growing or repeating pattern cut and glue.

1 growing pattern with numbers cut and glue to reinforce skip counting by 2, 5, and 10.

1 growing or repeating pattern sorting cut and glue.

2 animal sorts (into 2 options and then into 3 plus a you choose how it is sorted option)

1 shape sort (circle, square or triangle)

3 number sense sorts. Students sort using tally marks, tens, fingers, ten frames, number that comes in between.

Activities include:

Color cut and order pattern puzzles for ABC, AB, (AB, ABB, ABBB, ABBBB), ABB,

Color cut and and determine the next part of the pattern (teacher version for use in groups and a second option in bw to complete as recording sheet)

Teacher small group center for sorting, along with a sort mat. Students have access to color and bw to work in small group. There are three of these activities.

Finally, I have included a Pattern Fish craft. Students can use bingo daubers, pipe cleaners, crayons or tissue paper to decorate their pattern fish and then label how they made their pattern fish.
