What educators are saying

Adorable illustrations with clear directions! Students enjoyed it. I found it to be perfect for centers and morning work review.
Once the students had been taught and retaught, these were excellent for leaving for a substitute teacher when out of the classroom. Students were excited as they were out of the ordinary, yet straight forward and simple to work through.

Description

These math coloring sheets are perfect for math centers, early finishers, and independent work! These sheets allow you to differentiate for your students varying abilities!

Students can practice beginning addition and subtraction while adding and subtracting find the differences within 20 and sums to 20. Some of your students may not be ready for adding and subtracting and need additional practice with number identification and subitizing! Simply choose one design and give each student the practice THEY need. One size doesn't have to fit all students!

I like the bonus fine motor practice my students get while coloring small areas of the picture!

Your students will enjoy the Space themed pictures while practicing number identification, subitizing, addition and subtraction!

These are great for early finishers, math tubs, activity notebooks, independent and partner work.

Once your students complete the coloring sheet and see the bright picture, they'll be hooked! My students love these coloring sheets and I love that they can do them independently while getting lots of practice.

Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones - called a “ten.”
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
