Math Monthly Review Posters

What educators are saying
Description
These "math by the month" review worksheets are the perfect no-prep activity for sub days, bonus math assignments, family projects, etc. There are 12 different posters, each with a month theme, without being too focused on holidays during the month. Each different poster has questions based on different areas of the math curriculum, so they are perfect for review at various points during the year (numeration, number sense, measurement, geometry, probability, data management, patterning, and problem-solving). There are a combination of skill-based questions, problems, and open-ended questions represented on the posters.
I have also included a blank poster (without the questions) for each month poster. You can add your own questions into these posters to match the skills you are currently doing in your class, or change some of the questions to differentiate for your learners at different levels. Students could also come up with their own questions to challenge a partner.
These posters could be used for homework, math centers, early-finisher activities, or sub days. The way I plan to use them in the classroom is as a take-home activity once a month where the students work on the posters with an adult or sibling at home. For this reason, I have included a parent checklist form that could be sent home at the same time. I have been looking to increase parent involvement / engagement with students’ school work, and I think this could be a good way to do that. I may offer a small reward to those students who hand the posters back in by a certain date as an incentive.
I have also included a student success criteria checklist and rubric for assessment. Each is included as a separate page, but I have also included half-size versions on one page, so it can be photocopied onto the back of the poster to save paper.
Answer pages are also included for each poster.
